The brief
The Amaravati Government Complex sets the State Assembly, Secretariat and High Court within a contemporary, green and sustainable capital, alongside VIP housing, schools, sports, museums and ceremonial public plazas knitted to a riverfront.

The design
The plan follows strict Vāstu principles — cardinal axes, grid order, north-east orientation, the Brahmasthan and modular growth corridors — expressing democratic, inclusive civic values.

Details
The State Secretariat, India's tallest government building and first diagrid structure, was designed in close collaboration with Foster + Partners, London.
